The incoming water to the home / industrial units may have solid particles which cause blockage of the faucets and distribution units. Typically, these issues are addressed by using a 20” cartridge filter or sand filters. Where which frequency of cartridge replacement and cost is high. In the case of Flomax, it comes with stainless steel cartridge of 40 micron filtration, which doesn’t need to replace, it can be easily back washed by opening the cleaning valve located at the bottom. The blockage can be noticed by increasing the pressure drop at the pressure gauge in the Flomax. Apart from the solid particles filtration, it is housed with anti-scaling media, which reduces the effect of hard water passing through the filter, thus it protects equipment like water heater, washing machine filter, faucets, shower heads, etc from scaling. Flowmax is very compact, can tackle at a maximum flow of 4,200 lph.
